From 2020, Giant will also offer an additional battery / range extender called EnergyPak Plus, which can be attached directly to the bottle holder via a bayonet fitting. That's 250 Wh of energy on top.

These 2020 models are compatible with the EnergyPak Plus / Range Extender:

• Fastroad E, Road E, Revolt E
• Explore Pro Serien, (Kun herre)
• Reign E 0, 1 and 2

The Giant E-Bikes with 500Wh or 625Wh frame battery can be optionally extended with 250Wh. This results in the following maximum benefits:

• 500Wh frame battery + 250Wh EnergyPak additional battery = 750Wh total
• 625Wh frame battery + 250Wh EnergyPak additional battery = 875Wh total 
  
  

How to mount:

Remove the main battery and the rubbers in the holes in the down tube. Fix the baseplate using the supplied assembly kit. Range extender or bottle cage adapter easily click into the base plate.

How to use:

Connect to charge port and turn EP Plus on. When the main battery is almost empty the Ride Control will automatically switch to the EP Plus. The RideControl will always show the battery percentage of the active battery.

What is in the boxes:

Due to transport regulations the EP Plus is separated in two packages and SKUs. Box 1 contains the EnergyPak Plus and a protective sleeve for the battery. Box 2 contains the assembly kit (Baseplate with mounting kit), a bottle cage adapter (for quick switching between rides), and an adapter for the Smart charger. The smart charger is not included, but provided with the bike.

How to charge:

Use the smart charger provided with the bike. The EP Plus will be provided with the required adapter to connect to the smart charger

Charging current is reduced due to the lower number of cells.
